Modern architecture meets a rock star

I typically ask my high school seniors what setting they prefer - urban or nature. Many love the rustic wood and metal of old town streets or historic parks. The business district of Irvine offer a different urban setting. One that mixes the beauty of California palm trees and flowers with smooth lines of new architecture. The Irvine Towers has become one of my favorite locations for taking senior pictures.

He stood so confidently for his senior pictures that I could have easily believed he had done this many times. In reality, this senior is a quiet guy who doesn’t seek out the spotlight. Taking senior pictures is for everyone and for every personality, whether bold, outgoing, quiet, or introverted. I enjoy meeting each person and capturing their uniqueness.

He brought his electric guitar to his senior picture session (yay!). The one he strums in a band that plays cover songs for popular bands. I loved the color and the lines and the way he carried it and played it. Thankfully the name was on the handle so I could look cool calling it a Fender Stratocaster.

As he looks to his future, I wish him the best of luck, joy, and amazing tunes.
