Jeffrey Open Space Trail

The bright greens of new leaves on the sycamore trees create a beautiful spring feel at the Jeffrey Open Space Trail. Cultivated grasses, dry creek beds, and dirt paths are beautiful places to explore and have family photos taken. There are not many wildflowers in this park, but the spring greens are sweet.

Quail Hill Trail in Irvine

Mustard flowers bloom every year along the Quail Hill Trail starting in March but really tall by April. It can be an unpredictable bloom, but one worth catching and being photographed at this location in Orange County. Where the mustard is not blooming, the long green grasses add their own etherial beauty.

Newport Beach Dunes

Who needs the beautiful sea when the dunes are speckled with little yellow flowers? Actually, the ocean is a beautiful location for family photos, but it’s fun to find the bright colors on the dunes in February and March.

O’Neill Regional Park

The wildflowers that bloom in the creek bed of O’Neill Regional Park are true California natives and add a special glow to photos. As the sun sets in the west, the sunset colors of Deerweed add light and joy to these senior pictures. The amount of blooms and when their season starts is a bit unpredictable but a good estimate is in April and May.
